1 killed in Denver crash involving a scooter near Regis University, police say

One person is dead after a Tuesday morning crash in Denver outside of Regis University’s campus, according to the police department.
The victim, who has not been publicly identified, was hit by a car while riding a stand-up scooter near Federal Boulevard and West 52nd Avenue, the Denver Police Department said on social media at 7:55 a.m. Tuesday.
In a Wednesday afternoon update, police said the victim had died at the hospital.
The driver remained on scene at the crash, police said. Police have not released the driver’s name and it’s unknown if charges will be filed.
Police said the circumstances of the crash remain under investigation.
