issued the following...
WHAT...Air Quality Health Advisory for Blowing Dust.
WHERE...Saguache, Rio Grande, Alamosa, Costilla, Conejos, Pueblo,
Huerfano, Las Animas, Lincoln, Crowley, Otero, Kit Carson,
Cheyenne, Kiowa, Bent, Prowers and Baca Counties. Locations
include, but are not limited to Saguache, Del Norte, South Fork,
Alamosa, San Luis, Conejos, Pueblo, Walsenburg, Kim, Trinidad,
Limon, Ordway, La Junta, Burlington, Cheyenne Wells, Eads, Las
Animas, Lamar and Springfield.
WHEN...1000 AM Tuesday March 18 to 700 PM Tuesday March 18
IMPACTS...Strong winds may produce blowing dust on Tuesday.
Blowing dust should decrease by early Tuesday evening as winds
decrease.
HEALTH INFORMATION...Public Health Recommendations: If significant
blowing dust is present and reducing visibility to less than 10
miles across a wide area, People with heart or lung disease, older
adults, and children in the affected area should reduce prolonged
or heavy indoor and outdoor exertion.
