Two people suspected in a robbery near South Peoria Street and East Iliff Avenue were arrested Friday after Aurora police chased them through the city for 30 minutes, according to agency officials.

Aurora police responded to a parking lot in the city’s Heather Ridge neighborhood just before 2:30 p.m., the department said in a post on X.

Officers chased the suspects through the city, including on Interstate 225, before “immobilizing” the vehicle 5 miles north near Potomac Street and East 13th Avenue at 3 p.m.

Police arrested the suspects, a man and a boy, and confiscated their weapons. The vehicle they were driving was previously reported stolen, Aurora officials said.

No injuries were reported in the incident.
