Chief of Staff - Upwork

Position: Chief of Staff   Location: Hong Kong   Reports to:  Charity Founder About the Charity The charity is dedicated to changing mindsets around neurodiversity, special needs, and invisible disabilities. Role Overview: The Chief of Staff will serve as a key advisor and partner to the Founder, ensuring the smooth coordination and expedited progress of various projects among stakeholders. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent organizational skills, capable of driving initiatives forward and ensuring alignment across the organization.  The role requires a person who can handle both strategy and execution. Due to the youth of the organization, more execution will be required at the initial stages, with the longer termed view that the CoS will be able to handle matters and projects independently. Key Responsibilities: -Strategic Support:  Assist the Founder in setting the foundation’s strategic direction and priorities. Develop and execute plans to achieve organizational goals. -Project Management: Oversee the planning, implementation, and tracking of projects. Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. -Stakeholder Coordination: Act as a liaison between the Founder, internal teams, and external stakeholders. Facilitate communication and collaboration to ensure alignment and address any issues that arise. -Operational Efficiency: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness. Develop systems and procedures to support the foundation’s activities. -Communications:  Prepare reports, presentations, and other materials for the Founder. Draft communications and correspondence on behalf of the Founder as needed. -Event Coordination:  Support the planning and execution of foundation events, including corporate training sessions, community outreach programs, and fundraising activities. -Team Leadership: Provide guidance and support to the foundation’s staff. Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment. Qualifications: -Education: Degree in Business Administration, Nonprofit Management, or a related field. -Experience: Experience in a similar role, preferably within a nonprofit organization.
