Colorado Avalanche brings back Erik Johnson in trade with Flyers, according to report

The Colorado Avalanche made one last move before the NHL trade deadline, and it was a familiar face.

Colorado added Erik Johnson from the Philadelphia Flyers, Sportsnet reported shortly after the 1 p.m. deadline. Johnson played 717 of his 1,009 career games during a 13-year run with the Avs.

He has played 22 games for the Flyers this season. Adding him gives the Avs another depth option on defense after dealing away Oliver Kylington on Thursday night in the Brock Nelson trade.

This is a developing story and will be updated.
