Interstate 70 is closed in both directions between Silverthorne and the Eisenhower Tunnel because of adverse road conditions, multiple crashes and slide-offs Thursday night as another winter storm sweeps across Colorado.

Drivers should expect extended delays and not travel through the area, Colorado Department of Transportation officials said in a travel alert

Eastbound I-70 is closed between exit 203 for east Frisco and exit 205 for Silverthorne for safety concerns as of 8:30 p.m., according to CDOT.

Westbound I-70 is closed at exit 216 for Loveland Pass and U.S. 6 is closed in both directions over Loveland Pass, between I-70 and mile 228.7, east of Keystone Ski Resort for safety concerns.

In the Denver metro, eastbound Interstate 76 is closed at Eagle Boulevard in Brighton because of a crash.
