Colorado road conditions: Westbound I-70 closed at Eisenhower Tunnel for crashes, white-out conditions

Westbound Interstate 70 is closed in Georgetown for white-out conditions, treacherous roads and at least four crashes near Eisenhower Tunnel, according to the Clear Creek County Sheriff’s Office.

Westbound Interstate 70 is closed in Georgetown for white-out conditions, treacherous roads and at least four crashes near Eisenhower Tunnel, according to the Clear Creek County Sheriff’s Office.

The highway was closed as of 2:49 p.m., the sheriff’s office said in a post on X.

Westbound lanes are closed between exit 232 for U.S. 40 and exit 228 for Georgetown, according to the Colorado Department of Transportation. 

U.S. 6 is also closed in both directions over Loveland Pass for safety concerns.
