Coors Field has new brats, burgers and treats this Rockies season
They'll debut on an icy home opener this Friday against the A's.

Rockies fans bracing for a cold-numbing home opener Friday will be the first to try new food and drink options at Coors Field, including specials commemorating the stadium’s 30th anniversary.
New concession items include crispy dessert nachos sprinkled in cinnamon and powdered sugars with caramel sauce and whipped cream; the Wazee burger, a half-pound beef patty with cheddar, bacon and “boom boom” sauce; and the Triple Play Sliders, three small burgers with either Italian sausages, birria meat or chorizo patties.
Coors Field is also expanding its partnership with Polidori Sausage, a Colorado-based, family-owned sausage manufacturer that started selling at the stadium last year and is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year. Festive dogs featuring their chorizo, hatch green chile, and jalapeño brats will be sold at three sections of the stadium.
The Sand Lot Brewery, a renowned saloon in the corner of right field, will unveil a 30th Anniversary Lager in honor of the stadium, as well as a shandy and two other beers. Smoked wings are on the menu and available around the concourse, as is the commemorative lager.
If the solution to the chill (and potential snow) is to warm up internally with a frosty beverage, the Frozen Fastball is an aptly-titled option. The snow-cone drink comes in a 16-ounce spherical cup and in mango, strawberry, watermelon and raspberry flavors. (There is also a non-alcoholic option.)
Coors Field and Aramark will continue to expand their use of Amazon’s Just Walk Out payment system, where customers swipe their credit card or Amazon device when they walk into the stand and pick up their items. A new concession, the Rox Grill, will be the third to use the Amazon technology to silently track purchases, and the first to sell hot food.
Opening-day festivities will take over Coors Field and LoDo’s McGregor Square on Friday. First pitch against the Athletics is at 2:10 p.m.
