Parts of eastbound Interstate 70 were closed Thursday morning in Jefferson County for a crash, according to the Colorado Department of Transportation.
As of 6:30 a.m., the highway was closed at Colorado 72, also known as Ward Road, in Wheat Ridge, CDOT officials said. Cameras in the area of the crash show heavy, backed-up traffic for at least a mile.
Eastbound I-70 was also closed at U.S. 6 in West Pleasant View for “safety concerns,” according to CDOT.
Drivers should expect delays in both areas and take alternate routes where possible.
