Position Summary The Full-Stack Ruby on Rails Developer will have the opportunity to work with a talented software development team in developing a revolutionary clinical outcomes tracking tool for pediatric therapy that improves quality of care and mitigates clinician burnout. They will be responsible for understanding team objectives, writing readable, maintainable and efficient code to build features, fix bugs and improve performance. They will also be responsible for communicating with the rest of the team to understand tasks, collaborate on technical challenges and to share ideas on how to improve workflows, processes or features. Job Duties and Responsibilities Work with the Technical Product Manager and the rest of the development team in enhancing and iterating on a large-scale Ruby on Rails application that will Help clinicians track clinical outcomes and write documentation Give parents/families easy access to tracking their child’s therapeutic outcomes, their insurance information and their home exercise plans Help billing staff manage thousands of accounts Help our front desk staff manage checking in patients Create efficiencies and automation and reduce stress and burnout across every department at the company Design maintainable, scalable, and efficient client-side and server-side architecture to meet team objectives. Implement complete features within the Rails Application from start to finish while also contributing design and functionality input. Gain an in-depth understanding of existing features and workflows on both a technical and a practical level. Deploy understanding of existing software to upgrade it to fix bugs, improve performance, and enhance interfaces Direct system testing and validation procedures Analyze information to recommend and plan installation of new systems or modifications of existing systems Required Qualifications 4+ years of professional software development experience 3+ years of Full Stack development experience Significant Ruby on Rails expertise Strong connection to our mission of supporting children with special needs Strong resonance with the purpose of this project (i.e. revolutionize outcomes tracking in the pediatric therapy industry and mitigate clinician burnout) Superb communication skills Excellent technical and analytical skills Strong ability to think strategically and problem solve in both traditional and non-traditional ways.
