There are certain things I always keep in my suitcase.
  • I travel at least twice a month, and there are certain things I pack for every trip.
  • I think it's smart to bring an extra outfit in my carry-on bag, just in case.
  • An outlet adapter is my best friend when I'm traveling internationally.

After traveling to over 80 countries, I've been away at least twice a month for years.

With all that experience, I think I've finally figured out what should always be in my suitcase.

Of course, the things I pack vary depending on the destination and the nature of the trip, but these items seem to be useful every time I travel.

An adapter keeps me connected everywhere I go.

I've traveled to over 80 countries, so I've used my adapter a lot.

The first thing I put in my suitcase is my outlet adapter.

I like the OneWorld 65 because it works in 200 countries.

It has USB-C and USB-A ports, as well as a universal power adapter, so I can charge up to six devices at once.

I bring an extra outfit in my carry-on in case of any spills.

I want to be able to change if anything happens to the outfit I'm wearing.

After spilling mango juice all over myself once on a flight, I'm a bit traumatized.

Now, I make sure to pack a spare outfit that's within arm's reach in my carry-on.

I like to be comfy when I'm traveling, so I lean toward loungewear sets that are lightweight, comfy, and suitable for most activities and weather conditions. My favorites are from the brand Qynda.

A small backpack comes in handy for exploring.

I like to carry a backpack when I'm hiking or exploring a city.

Having a small backpack makes it easier for me to explore while traveling. It also comes in handy if I purchase items or my luggage is overweight and I need another bag.

Whether I'm walking around a city or going on a daylong adventure, I know I'll have enough space for all the essentials I need while I'm away from my luggage.

I highly recommend Horizn Studios' SoFo rolltop backpack. It's lightweight, water resistant, and holds more than any purse or crossbody bag I own.

I like to sleep on a silk pillowcase, no matter where I am.

It's easy to toss a pillowcase in my luggage.

Call me high maintenance, but I travel with my silk pillowcases. They're lightweight and hardly take up any space in my bag.

The last thing I want is to be blotchy and irritated in all the photos from my trip, and I find them to be gentler on my skin.

Because silk is also naturally hypoallergenic, the pillowcases are less likely to collect dust and bacteria.

Slip and Celestial Silk are my go-to brands at the moment.

My toiletry bag is my ride-or-die.

I swear by the Latico uptown travel kit.

I love Latico's uptown travel kit — it's the only toiletry bag I use anymore.

I think the leather exterior is sleek, and there's a metal frame inside that lets it open wider than you'd expect. I feel like Mary Poppins.

There's also a zippered bottom section with a mesh pocket if I want to keep anything separate.

I don't go anywhere without my deodorant.
lume deodorant stick
I'm a big fan of Lume whole-body deodorant.

I don't like to travel without a really good deodorant. Right now, Lume's full-body stick is my favorite.

Whether I'm trekking in sweltering heat or skiing down a mountain, it's the only deodorant I've found that works for me in extreme weather conditions.

Socks with nonslip grips have always been my go-to travel item.
feet wearing grippy socks
I like wearing grippy socks on planes.

I find it uncomfortable to wear shoes for an entire flight, but I think I'd get canceled if I went barefoot on a plane. Socks with rubber treads on the bottom are my solution.

They allow me to stand and walk around without feeling gross, and they're also slip-resistant.

If you need a recommendation, I like the fun prints that Souls Socks sells.

Eye patches are a nice treat on long flights.
packages of undereye patches
I like to put eye patches on while I'm flying.

When I fly, there are certain travel-sized skincare products I like to have at the ready.

For instance, I pop on some undereye patches about 15 minutes before landing. I think it does wonders for my dark circles and general puffiness — I just feel like I look more alive.

The brand Comfort Zone is my go-to right now.
