- Kim Kardashian posted photos of a Tesla Cybertruck and robot to Instagram on Friday.
- The photos were from a November photo shoot for Perfect Magazine.
- Tesla has become a political symbol due to Tesla CEO Elon Musk's ties to the Trump administration.
Some celebrities are ditching Elon Musk's Tesla to protest his work with DOGE and President Donald Trump's administration.
Not Kim Kardashian, though.
Kardashian appeared as the cover star for Perfect Magazine's upcoming issue, which included a Tesla-themed photo spread. One photo showed Kardashian posing in the bed of a Cybertruck, while another featured her cuddling with a Tesla robot near the beach.
Kardashian shared a slideshow of the photos, taken by Steven Klein, with her 357 million Instagram followers on Friday. Some Instagram users criticized the post due to Tesla's newfound association with the Trump administration.
A post shared by Perfect Magazine said the photos were snapped in Malibu, California, last November. It's been four months since then, and a lot has happened.
Musk, Tesla's CEO, has become the target of criticism for his work with the White House DOGE Office, which is tasked with slashing the federal budget. DOGE has sought to reduce the federal workforce and cut numerous departments and agencies, including NASA, USAID, and Veteran's Affairs.

In response, Tesla sales are down in several global markets and the company's stock price has cratered. Critics have staged protests against Musk, and some Tesla owners — including Arizona Sen. Mark Kelly — have sold their vehicles.
Amid reports of Tesla's struggles, Trump hosted an event at the White House last week where he showed off a Tesla car. Representatives for Tesla did not respond to a request for comment.
Kardashian told The Free Press in a 2021 interview that her political ideology is a mix of liberal and conservative. "I believe in the rights that the Democrats want, but I believe in the taxes that the Republicans want," she said.
Kardashian has embraced criminal justice reform over the last decade, leading her to meet with Trump at the White House in 2018, 2019, and 2020. She also visited the White House during former President Joe Biden's administration in 2024 to meet Vice President Kamala Harris.
