Conditions on Tuesday, along with a wind shift to the northwest
during the late afternoon into the evening hours....
The National Weather Service in Goodland has issued a Red Flag
Warning for wind and low relative humidity, which is in effect
from 10 AM to 8 PM MDT Tuesday.
* AFFECTED AREA...Fire Weather Zones 253 Kit Carson and 254
Cheyenne.
* TIMING...For the first Red Flag Warning, until 7 PM MDT this
evening. For the second Red Flag Warning, from 10 AM to 8 PM
MDT Tuesday.
* WINDS...For today Southwest winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts
around 35 mph. For Tuesday Southwest 25 to 35 mph with gusts up
to 50 mph.
* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 8 percent.
* IMPACTS...Dangerous and unpredictable fire behavior. Any fires
that develop may rapidly grow and spread out of control.
* Additional Details...A wind shift is forecast to occur during
the late afternoon into the evening hours to the northwest where
winds may increase further. Blowing dust is possible especailly
across southwest portions of the area which may result in
delayed repsonse to fires.
