The National Weather Service in Goodland has issued a Red Flag Warning for wind and low relative humidity, which is in effect from 10 AM to 8 PM MDT Tuesday. * AFFECTED AREA...Fire Weather Zones 253 Kit Carson and 254 Cheyenne. * TIMING...For the first Red Flag Warning, until 7 PM MDT this evening. For the second Red Flag Warning, from 10 AM to 8 PM MDT Tuesday. * WINDS...For today Southwest winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts around 35 mph. For Tuesday Southwest 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 50 mph. * RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 8 percent. * IMPACTS...Dangerous and unpredictable fire behavior. Any fires that develop may rapidly grow and spread out of control. * Additional Details...A wind shift is forecast to occur during the late afternoon into the evening hours to the northwest where winds may increase further.
