Renck & File: With House of LR&C closing, Russell Wilson should focus on ending, not fashion
The House of LR&C is MIA at DIA.

The House of LR&C is MIA at DIA.
The clothing store owned by Russell Wilson and his wife, Ciara, no longer occupies space in the east terminal, replaced by a candy venture.
The only surprise is that it did not happen sooner, lease be damned. The store was a sad reminder of the worst trade in Broncos history. Wilson lasted two years in Denver, posting an 11-19 record before coach Sean Payton cut him after the 2023 season.
He left an $85 million dead cap hit and an airport clothing store in his wake. The thing is, even if Wilson played well for the Broncos, the fashion tip never made sense. For Ciara, yes. Russell, no.
Every time pictures surfaced of him at red carpet events, he struck me as someone who wanted to be the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air when he was really Carlton Banks.
Nothing wrong with Carlton or his dancing. But nobody is buying clothes from him. Even sustainable, high-quality apparel “that did not skimp on fashion” as The Post’s Tiney Ricciardi wrote this week.
The company is now centered on promoting the Good Man Brand through its website. Wilson is definitely a good man.
But with one of his final connections to Colorado gone, some simple advice: Focus on fashioning a perfect ending to a potential Hall of Fame career, not clothing.
Jokic cheat code: The growing NBA chatter is that coach JJ Redick’s defense on Nikola Jokic exposed the Nugets, provided a cheat code. Teams are fronting Jokic, doubling him, fouling him. Just stop. Nobody is solving Jokic. The Nuggets’ fate, as it always has, hinges on The Other Guys. And with no margin for error, I don’t trust Michael Porter Jr.
Dissing of Shedeur: The disrespect of Shedeur Sanders has reached absurd levels. NFL.com’s Lance Zierlein projected him to fall to the 29th spot in the first round in his recent mock draft. And then you have quarterback coaches from teams picking in the top 10 anonymously annoyed by Sanders’ arrogance and lack of interest in them. Get over yourselves. Did you ever think it’s you, not him? There is a reason the same teams pick in the top 10 every year. Sanders will be a top-10 pick, valued for his processing, timing and accuracy. And I believe the best fit is the Jets.
Maverick mess: Is it too late for Mavericks general manager Nico Harrison to join the Browns, where his incompetence won’t stand out? No professional team has endured a more embarrassing five-week stretch than Dallas. Traded Luka Doncic. Anthony “Street Clothes” Davis got hurt. Assistant coach arrested for DUI. Luka schooled Mavs. Mural unveiled of Luka — in Dallas. Ticket prices raised. Mavs star Kyrie Irving tore ACL in left knee. Reminder: You can replace general managers. You cannot replace generational players.
Coach Prime’s Time: CU football coach Deion Sanders doesn’t visit schools or homes in recruiting. Those still whining about this are missing the point. He continues to land top high school and transfer portal players. How? He has put together a staff of former NFL players and coaches. It has a Kentucky vibe from John Calipari years ago. Players are buying into the idea that CU will enhance their pro prospects.
Final thought: Broncos’ obvious Saints free-agent pursuit? Tight end Juwan Johnson. Potential sneaky pursuit? Cornerback Paulson Adebo.
