At 436 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong thunderstorms 20 miles southeast of Thatcher, or 39 miles south of North La Junta, moving east at 25 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. This storm will remain over mainly rural areas of southeastern Otero and northeastern Las Animas Counties.
