Taylor and Garrett from 'Love Is Blind' are still married — but Taylor says her husband's glow-up was 'all Garrett'

"Love Is Blind" season seven tackled the famously difficult Washington, DC dating scene — but at least some love has prevailed.

Quite a few participants were able to find love in the pods this season. Taylor, a 30-year-old clean energy policy consultant, and Garrett, a 33-year-old physicist, became one of this season's most compelling couples. Drawn by their similar backgrounds, they hit it off early in the pods — and despite some hiccups — manage to stay on track all the way to the altar. And at the season seven reunion, they confirmed that they were still married.

On TikTok, Taylor has joked about being in the television spotlight as "Love Is Blind" is Netflix's flagship dating franchise. According to the company's own engagement data, "Love Is Blind" regularly draws millions of views, meaning that the cast's dating mishaps are displayed to a staggering global audience.

In one video, she lip-synced to a lyric from Sabrina Carpenter's "Please Please Please" while staring herself down in a mirror: "I beg you, don't embarrass me, motherfucker."

Taylor and Garrett bonded over a shared science background in the pods

On their first date in episode one, Taylor and Garrett learn that they share a scientific background. As a bonus coincidence, they also both have science-related tattoos: Taylor has a hydrogen molecule on her wrist tied to her work as a clean energy policy consultant, and Garrett has Heisenberg's uncertainty principle, a nod to a quantum mechanics concept, on his arm.

On another date in episode one, Taylor tells Garrett that she doesn't want to tell him her mother's name because it hints at her ethnicity. Garrett replies that he hadn't thought at all about her ethnicity, but had previously only dated white women.

However, he also says that he has found her to be "calculated" in her communication with him — something he didn't necessarily think was negative.

"And that's good feedback to get," she replies. "Just, like, I guess it's hard to hear that it comes across, as, like, really calculated."

The pair moves forward, however, and continues to develop their relationship. In episode two, Taylor reads Garrett a romantic confession that includes a love letter her grandfather once wrote to her grandmother expressing his intent to marry her. In response, Garrett proposes — and Taylor says yes.

The pair meet in person later in the episode. They're also one of the six couples producers selected to go on a couple's trip to Mexico. Compared to other pairs, their vacation is relatively drama-free.

In episode seven, Taylor and Garrett visit Garrett's parents in Fredericksburg, Virginia. While his family has doubts about the speed of the process, the couple reaffirms their commitment to each other. In episodes eight and nine, they discuss moving to San Diego to be closer to Taylor's family and their parents' concerns.

In episode 10, Taylor and Garrett run into their first major hiccup when Garrett tells Taylor shortly before a party with the rest of the cast that one of his exes contacted him, and he had liked her message. Taylor makes it clear to him that if women from his past reach out, he needs to tell them that he's engaged and shut it down.

However, during a conversation at the party with Ashley and Tyler, Garrett admits that he hadn't just liked the message, but responded to it too, telling his ex that he was engaged. Taylor is hurt by Garrett leaving out information and he apologizes for his actions. In a confessional, Taylor says that they had stayed up most of the night talking about it, but she wants to put it aside while they travel to San Diego to see her family.

The meeting with Taylor's family goes well. At a dress shopping appointment in episode 11, Taylor's mother says that while Garrett didn't initially strike her as Taylor's type, she can see how much he loves her. By the end of the episode, Taylor and Garrett both feel confident about their upcoming wedding.

In the season seven finale, they tie the knot with the blessing of both of their parents. Coincidentally, their wedding date was the 13th — the same day that both Taylor and Garrett's parents were married.

Taylor and Garrett confirmed they were still married at the reunion

Taylor and Garrett arrived together at the "Love Is Blind" season seven reunion and confirmed that they had been married since they said "I do" in the season finale. Hosts Nick and Vanessa Lachey poked fun at theories that Taylor had been responsible for Garrett's glow-up — i.e. longer, more styled hair — but Taylor insisted that Garrett was behind it.

The couple also revealed that they were planning on moving to DC instead of moving to San Diego as they had discussed on the show. While they had spent time in San Diego and abroad after getting married, Garrett said that he told Taylor how difficult it was for him to be away from his family. They agreed to stay somewhere that was "neutral ground" and move to DC.

Both of them have posted about the show on social media and reflected (mostly) positively on the experience. At the reunion, Taylor also joked that she'd finally be following Garrett on Instagram — he was already following her, but she hadn't reciprocated while the show was airing.
