Westbound I-70 closed Sunday afternoon between Frisco and East Vail, 3 miles west of Copper Mountain, according to the Colorado Department of Transportation.

The westbound interstate is closed between Exit 190 for Vail Pass Summit and Exit 180 for East Vail, about 3 miles west of Copper Mountain, according to CDOT officials.
According to CDOT, westbound I-70 is also closed for “safety concerns” between Exit 190 for Vail Pass Summit and Exit 201 for Frisco.
CDOT officials did not say if the second, extended closure was related to the crash.
No estimated time of reopening was available Sunday afternoon.
