Miss Universe returns for its 73rd pageant this weekend, and more than 100 contestants from around the globe will compete for the coveted title. We'll show you where to watch Miss Universe, including a free streaming option.

This year's Miss Universe competition will take place at the Arena CDMX in Mexico City. Mario Lopez and former Miss Universe Olivia Culpo will host. In 2023, Sheynnis Palacios made history as the first Nicaraguan to be crowned Miss Universe. She'll pass on the crown to her successor tonight, one of the 30 women who advanced from the preliminary round. Of the 30 contestants, 12 will make it to the evening gown portion of the event before the final five advance to the final question. The pageant has seen quite a bit of evolution in recent years, from its change in broadcasting (more on that below) to its shifting restrictions on eligibility.

If you're hoping to tune in, you've come to the right place. The competition is no longer on a traditional broadcast network in the US, so we'll make sure you know how to tune in via streaming.

Where to watch Miss Universe in the US

The Miss Universe competition will be available to watch for free on the Roku Channel in the US. It's scheduled to kick off on Saturday, November 16, at 8 p.m. ET. Roku is a completely free option that comes with tons of free live channels and on-demand programming. You'll need to create a login for on-demand content, but most live options require no account.

A Spanish-language version of the competition will also be shown on Telemundo in the US. Telemundo is available to live stream through Fubo, a month-to-month streaming service. The channel is included with Fubo's base Pro plan, which offers anywhere from 150-200+ channels in its lineup. Subscriptions start at $80/month, but first-time customers can try it out free for one week. Plus, subscribers can get $20 off their first month of service.

How to watch Miss Universe from anywhere

Those who happen to be away from the US when the competition airs can still access their usual streaming options with the help of a VPN. Short for virtual private networks, VPNs are cybersecurity tools that let people change the virtual location of their devices so that they can access their go-to websites from anywhere. They're popular apps for those hoping to upgrade their online privacy and use their usual subscriptions while traveling.

ExpressVPN is one of the best VPNs out there. It's an easy-to-use option with a 30-day money-back guarantee, so there are no worries if you find that's not what you're looking for. Our ExpressVPN review has all the details, and you can keep reading to learn how to use a VPN.
