TV's funniest vampire series is back for one final season. We'll show you everything you need to know about where to watch What We Do in the Shadows, including what time new episodes air in the US, how to watch on-demand, and UK viewing information.

Inspired by the 2014 film of the same name, What We Do in the Shadows is a mockumentary-style comedy that follows the daily lives of a group of vampires living together on Staten Island. Several of the vampires are centuries-old, so they must adjust to function in the 21st century — or not. The show premiered in 2019 and will air its final 11 episodes this fall and winter.

Jemaine Clement, who co-created and co-starred in the film alongside Taika Waititi, also created the series. However, the TV version follows an entirely new set of vampires played by Matt Berry, Kayvan Novak, Natasia Demetriou, and Mark Proksch. They're joined by their familiar Guillermo, portrayed by Harvey Guillén, who eventually becomes much more to the group.

Where to watch What We Do in the Shadows in the US

What We Do in the Shadows airs on FX in the US. New episodes drop Monday nights at 10 p.m. ET. The premiere on October 21 will be a double-header with two back-to-back new episodes. If you don't have cable and hope to watch the show live, you'll need to subscribe to a live TV streaming service like Sling TV, Fubo, or DirecTV Stream. These options offer low-commitment, month-to-month plans and are often much cheaper than cable.

Sling TV is the most affordable of the bunch, with plans starting at $40/month. FX is available through Sling's Blue plan, which offers 43 live channels. Sling is always running an introductory promo that will knock about half the cost off your first month of service, so you can subscribe today for $20.

DirecTV Stream and Fubo are two other top-rated, albeit slightly more expensive, live TV options. Fortunately, both services offer free trials (DirecTV Stream has a five-day free trial, while Fubo offers new users a whole week free). The streaming services offer more than double the number of channels that Sling has (triple, in some cases). DirecTV Stream's cheapest tier, the Entertainment plan, costs $87/month. Fubo's cheapest tier, the Pro plan, costs $80/month. Fubo is also currently offering new customers $20 off their first month of service, no matter which plan they sign up for.

Finally, if you don't mind waiting a day, you can catch new episodes of Hulu on Tuesdays. Hulu subscriptions start at $10/month, but you can try out the streaming service free for one month. In addition to new episodes from Season 6, Hulu carries the entire back-catalog of past episodes of What We Do in the Shadows.

What We Do in the Shadows seasons 1-5 are available to stream on Disney Plus in the UK. Over the past few years, the new episodes have hit the UK after the full season has finished airing in the US, so we expect to see them available overseas sometime around the new year. We'll keep this page updated if the UK receives a more precise release date.

How to watch What We Do in the Shadows from anywhere

If you're traveling away from home, you don't need to worry about interrupting your binge-watch. You can keep up with your usual subscriptions from anywhere with the help of a VPN, like our favorite, ExpressVPN. Short for virtual private networks, VPNs are cybersecurity tools that allow you to change your device's virtual location, meaning that your go-to websites and apps work just like they would back home. We consistently recommend Express, which comes with a hassle-free 30-day money-back guarantee and several other perks, which we break down in our ExpressVPN review.
