Multiple rounds of snow and gusty winds will continue to impact the
northern Colorado mountains through Monday. Another break is
expected late this morning through early evening, before the final
wave of snow moves in late this evening and continues through
Monday If you are planning to travel through the northern Colorado
mountains, attempt to do so when winter travel conditions will have
less impact during one of those breaks. Very strong winds will lead
to blowing snow and greatly reduced visibility.
* WHAT...For the first Winter Storm Warning, snow. Additional snow
accumulations up to 4 inches. Winds gusting as high as 50 mph. For
the second Winter Storm Warning, heavy snow expected. Total snow
accumulations between 8 and 14 inches. Winds gusting as high as 65
mph.
* WHERE...Rabbit Ears Pass.
* WHEN...For the first Winter Storm Warning, until 11 AM MST this
morning. For the second Winter Storm Warning, from 8 PM this
evening to 5 PM MST Monday.
* IMPACTS...Snow and ice covered roads will make travel hazardous,
with the possibility of very difficult or impossible travel.
